METALYZER® 3B
A total CPET solution.
Stationary CPET system for precise measurements.
The METALYZER® 3B is a stationary CPET system. Breath gases are measured Breath-by-Breath and recorded continuously. The system can be combined with ECG and other devices for performance and functional diagnostics.
Compact enough for flexible use in examination rooms, operating areas, or satellite sites. Low-maintenance and easy to use in daily practice.

MetaSoft® Studio
Reliably connected
An examination runs only as smoothly as the software behind it. MetaSoft® Studio controls the entire test workflow, from load protocol to connected devices to test report.
Every measurement is preserved as a raw data set and remains traceable. You focus on the examination while the technology works in the background.
Whether in the lab, in the practice, or in the field: it is the same software with the same workflow, and all results land in the same evaluation.

FAQ
How often does the system need to be calibrated?
The gas sensors are adjusted once a month by two-point calibration with ambient air and calibration gas, and the gas-on-demand valve doses the calibration gas automatically. You calibrate the reusable turbine daily or before each test, while disposable turbines are factory-calibrated. Air pressure calibration is only scheduled every six months. The device warm-up time is 30 minutes.
Can the device be moved between rooms?
Yes. Compact form factor, modular design. From the examination room to the operating area or a satellite site, without setup effort.
Which ECG systems are supported?
The METALYZER® 3B connects to 14 ECG systems: Amedtec ECG Pro, custo med, Dr. Schmidt Smartsoft, Ergocid Plus, Fukuda Stress ECG, GE CardioSoft, GE CASE, KB Interface Box, Medset PADSY, Micromed Elite, Mortara XScribe, Norav PC ECG, Schiller SDS-104, and Spacelabs Sentinel. It connects to the PC via USB as standard, with Bluetooth® as an option. It also supports the Bluetooth® Smart HR strap and the Nonin Bluetooth® 3150 Wrist pulse oximeter.
Can the resting metabolic rate (RMR) be measured?
Yes, the resting metabolic rate is measured via breath gas analysis with a mask. No additional hardware is needed; in MetaSoft® Studio, the energy metabolism license is required for this. Relevant for nutritional medicine, metabolic research, and therapy planning.
