There are no limits to performance, and none to your diagnostics. The C2in1 performance is ready to go instantly. You hot-swap the battery during operation, and the gas analysis captures O₂ and CO₂ throughout. The test ends when your athlete has nothing left, not when the battery does.

The testing station that travels. The Docking Station runs on battery and needs no power outlet, with the Mobile Unit staying inside it. You set up your lab wherever your team is training, such as at a training camp or during altitude training. Hot-swap batteries keep testing running.

FAQ
What is CPET?
A diagnostic method, also known as cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), that analyzes breathing, heart, and metabolism during physical exercise. It measures oxygen uptake, carbon dioxide output, and breathing volume. This allows accurate assessment and targeted optimization of physical performance capacity, in sports, fitness coaching, and research. In sports it provides precise data for individualized training control and for determining the anaerobic threshold.
Is CPET right for me?
In most cases, yes. It is especially useful if you want to measure your physical performance capacity objectively, plan targeted endurance training, gauge how much load you can handle, or determine your V̇O₂max and anaerobic threshold precisely.
What equipment do I need for CPET?
A breath analysis system such as the C2in1 performance plus an exercise device: treadmill, bicycle ergometer, or rowing ergometer. Ideally, choose the exercise device that comes closest to the test subject's sport. For field tests we recommend Variant X with outdoor equipment.
What is the C2in1 performance?
A new generation of CORTEX CPET that unites every advantage in a single device. One solution for every use case, from stationary to mobile.
How long do preparation and the measurement itself take?
Preparation takes only as long as you need to type in the test subject's data. No warm-up period, no lengthy calibration process. An exercise test takes about 20 minutes, a resting measurement to determine resting metabolic rate about 30 minutes.
Indoors and outdoors with the same device?
Yes. Indoors, stationary in the Docking Station (mains- or battery-powered) or worn as the Mobile Unit in the vest. For outdoor tests, geopositioning comes on top: test data right at the point of interest, with no fixed location.
Can I integrate existing equipment?
Yes. MetaSoft® Performance controls a wide range of external exercise devices. The Mobile Unit itself pairs with your PC and accessories via Bluetooth LE.
How much does the C2in1 performance cost?
The price depends on the configuration line, exercise ergometers or accessories, and your training needs. In a consultation we will put together a quote that fits your use case exactly. MetaSoft® Performance is always included.
Where can I buy the C2in1 performance?
Directly from CORTEX in Leipzig or through our international partner network. We support you from the configuration decision through installation and into routine operation.
What training and support are included?
Every delivery includes installation and an introduction to the system. Beyond that, there are in-depth training courses, webinars, and workshops on CPET and system operation. Technical support is available across multiple channels.
